About
ARC Water (Agricultural, Residential, Commercial) was established in 1989 in response to a growing trend in the water treatment marketplace. Homeowners, farm operators and businesses alike were becoming increasingly frustrated in dealing with ‘sales’ companies that were more interested in growing their bottom line than providing good service to their customers.
From the very beginning, ARC Water has endeavoured to set itself apart from all others, not only by having a complete line of high quality systems, but by looking at each unique situation and designing a unique solution. Nobody wants to be a carbon copy of everyone else around them and often the water quality (or lack thereof) dictates that the solution cannot be the same.
Just like the car companies have many models and options to choose from, we also offer choices. We realize that consumers have different wants and needs. To address this fact, we purchase our components from dozens of manufacturers and suppliers to be able to offer you the best alternatives, regardless of the severity of the problem.
Another evident trend in the marketplace is that, although the local plumbers, well drillers & pump installers are indeed experts in their own areas, their knowledge of how to test and properly treat problem water is limited. Incorrect equipment or improperly sized systems sometimes results in more problems than at the start.
Prior to owning ARC Water, partner Damon Kipp received extensive training and practical experience in his role as Service Manager for a major distributor of water treatment equipment in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. He also served as a manufacturers rep for a thriving pump and water treatment supplier in Stratford.
Glen Steinson joined ARC Water in the fall of 2000 after having made the switch from a career as Service & Operations Manager also in the consumer sector. Both partners have successfully passed the Province of Ontario’s ‘Operation of Small Drinking Water Systems’ course.
ARC Water is a proud member of the Canadian Water Quality Association and other trade related organizations.
